Facebook Page: Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial

by Larry Richman on November 15, 2012

A new Facebook page has just been created about the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial.

This page highlights the birthplace of the Prophet Joseph Smith, the first latter-day prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Learn about the birthplace memorial, which includes a granite monument that stands 38 1/2 feet tall, one foot for every year of the Prophet’s life. A visitors’ center provides further information on the life of this exceptional man.

Thanksgiving weekend, you can enjoy a Christmas lighting ceremony. See photos.

The Facebook page is sponsored and maintained by the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I live in the Montpelier stake, and have been invited to handle the trail-to-first-class program for this year’s summer camp at Camp Joseph. I need a good map of the property, as I need to plan a one- and a five-mile hike using map and compass. Do you have any maps you can send me? A plat map maintained by the office that maintains ownership records might work.
