I am loving how technology allows me to continue sharing the gospel with my children no matter where they are in the world! I am able to simply open a scripture application on my phone and email, text or post it to my children anytime of the day! Some wonderful fruit has come from the ability to communicate in this way.

If we aren't supposed to talk to people we don't know already on the Internet, how are we to carry out Church leaders' counsel to share the gospel via the web, as described in one of last year's Ensign articles?

Is it more dangerous to talk to people online than to approach people we meet "IRL" about the Gospel?

If a Church member would not feel comfortable being someplace "IRL" where he or she could not keep the standards of the Gospel, is it likely that he or she would want to be part of an online community where he or she could not?

"Use social network sites that allow you to choose the friends who have access to your personal information, such as Facebook, instead of sites like MySpace, which he typified as “a seething mosh pit of youthful hormones."

This makes me wonder if Mr. Knutson has ever actually used MySpace...

Not just for parents of teens. I also text my married son and his family and occassionaly send photos via our cell phones. More contact with older children is also good.
