Be Smart Web Site

by Larry Richman on August 5, 2009

besmart-web-siteThe Be Smart Web site helps youth prepare for higher education. It provides information about the following Church schools: BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, and LDS Business College. It also provides links to information about Institutes of Religion at other colleges.

On the site, you’ll find information on how to prepare in high school as well as information about ACT/SAT testing. The site has sections on career exploration, financing college, and independent study.

On August 25, the Church’s BeSmart program will begin two months of fun and informative firesides across 38 locations in 20 states in the United States. These firesides will inform prospective college students of the purpose of continuing education, the options the Church Educational System offers, and how to transition to college education. Youth are encouraged to attend in order to meet with other youth, to gain valuable information about higher education, and to learn about the opportunities available to them.

Is this site only going to be geared toward youth, or also to continuing education and encouraging adults to return to school and receive diplomas?

For whatever reason, boys are lagging behind in upper education, maybe this will help.
