LDS Family Services provides non-identifying information to adult adoptees and birth parents. We can provide you with whatever information is in your file, but it will not contain identifying information. If you wish to request this, you can visit the office in your area (found from the following link Contact your local office ) and ask for an Adoptions Records Request. There is a $50 fee to request this information. You will be required to pick up the information at the office with valid picture ID.
If you would like identifying information, you may wish to contact the Department of Vital Statistics to find out if your birth mother registered on the mutual consent registry. If she did, you can also register and receive identifying information.

I have a friend who is hoping to connect with, or at least find out about, her birth parents. She was adopted through LDS Family Services. I'm not seeing related help on this web site. Anyone have any ideas? Call the toll-free number is the only option I suppose, and she's already done that I believe.
