Mormon Channel iPhone Application Update

by David Nielson on July 14, 2009

The Mormon Channel iPhone application has been updated (1.0.1) to address the two most common suggestions we have received:

  • The ability to stream the radio station when the iPhone is locked is now enabled.
  • Major improvements have been made in the playback of the Conference addresses, magazines, and scriptures, including the ability to pause/resume.

Additional fixes and feature enhancements are forthcoming. We are also working on a version of this application for the Blackberry, Android, and Windows Mobile platforms.

Larry, it would also help if the playlist for what’s currently on the radio station could also be displayed, especially when the user has hit the play button. Great work so far, I love the app!

Connor, this is a feature we are working on.

Oops, didn’t know this was not Larry authoring the article. Sorry for the mixup David, and I look forward to the inclusion of this new feature. Thanks!

What about an android app as well. I’d volunteer to develop it. Contact me.

Dave, thanks for your offer. We are currently working on an Android version of the app. For all of these apps, we welcome community involvement in their development. If you are willing to help, please let us know. I will then contact you with more information on how to get involved.
