The thing I've discovered about the temple is that while you feel close to God, it is not the only place where these feelings can exist. I feel it when I attend other churches where Christ is taught. I feel it in nature, and when playing with my kids. God is the same, today and tomorrow. What bothers me about the temple is the continued close ties to Masonry, and the many substantial changes to the ceremony. Pre-1990 it was very different than today.

I am a Catholic that happened to see the "Big Love" episode that inspired this short video. I felt that the episode in question actually explained more of the mystery of the temple rather than exploit its purity. The ritual aspect was comforting and unexpected. As a catholic, no matter where I am the rituals of the mass are the same east or west coast of the United states and everywhere in between. Also, in any nation. After the episode, I asked my LDS friends if the rituals where the same every time and if they where universally the same in all temples. The response of, "yes" was very comforting to realize that ritualistic, bible based traditions are not only in the Catholic faith. That episode brought more positive light to your faith than negative...in my opinion.

It is a very beautiful and soft spoken video. I would love to see a bit more directness towards answering the "why" (like saying this is where we preform some holy ordinances like baptisms for the dead or marriages), but hopefully the clips that would be added can be kept as soft spoken as the rest of the video.

Well done.

I AGREE WITH MICHELLE. I AM A CONVERT AND DON'T
FEEL IT IS REALLY ADEQUATE FOR NON-MEMBERS. IT
SAYS HOW WONDERFUL TEMPLES ARE BUT NOT REALLY WHY
WE BUILD THEM. FURTHER EXPLANATION WOULD BE
DESIRABLE.
