More needed updates:

1) The Stake for a particular address. For instance, if I type in 97223, it will not only show the ward that is closest, but the Stake the ward belongs to, and CONTACT information, i.e., a name and phone number of the agent Bishop or Stake President. Inputting this info can be driven by the Stakes, rather than from Church HQ.

2) Temple info, which Temple is the closest, and contact info.

3) What Mission, plus contact info.

With the old meetinghouse locator, you could drill down to the Stake level and find names and contact numbers, at least.

Great additions! Is there a way to specify a location in the URL? I'd love to be able to link to maps.lds.org and have the specific location I'm interested in shown up on the map right away. It would help a lot with my missionary efforts. Thanks!

Great additions. Is there an API for this? I'd like to use it in an iPhone app about LDS basic beliefs. Give the curious people in the App Store a way to find out accurate information about the Church (and where to find it) without signing up for missionary visits. I'd like to integrate the Mormon.org missionary chat feature as well...
