A group of researchers have devised a method which allows people to communicate over a 2G cell phone network using Sign Language. This is a pretty big step for deaf people, because text messaging is a poor substitute for the expressiveness of Sign Language, and for many who have been deaf since childhood, English is truly a foreign language.

You can not imagine what this will do for the deaf and the missionary work for the deaf. While I served my mission to the deaf, we always were reminded of the miles we put on our car. Of course way back then, they did not even have TTY’s or e-mails. So we had to drive to someone’s home and hoped they would be there.
I hope all involved will that this technology and implement it in assisting of bring the gospel to all deaf individuals. I can give you 100’s of ideas to move the work forward with this technology in bring converts into the Church.
LET’S DO IT!!!!
