Twitter is a micro-blogging service that allows friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to the simple question “What are you doing?
This video is a quick and plain-English intro the micro-blogging service Twitter.
Personally, I don’t care about the “tweets” from people who simply say “I’m eating dinner” or “I’m going to bed.” But I do enjoy tweets that comment on great things they just read, cool Web sites they just found, or epiphanies they just had.
If you like Twitter, you may want to check out Twhirl, a desktop tool for Twitter users. It allows you to do almost everything you can on Twitter but in a small window that resembles an IM chat window.

I’ve been following the Mormon/LDS stream on Twitter for a few weeks now. Interesting to say the least. http://search.twitter.com/search?q=mormon%2C+lds
Tweetdeck is my twitter client of choice. It has a built in search tool so you can watch topics like LDS/Mormon or whatever.

Many are following LDS General Conference on Twitter using the #LDSCONF keyword. (#something is an indicator for an event)
Searching on #ldsconf is fun to follow as well

As a member of the Church, I have loved learning how to use Twitter to share the gospel, and meet other members of the LDS Church.
Did you know, that we also have an LDS Twitter Group, so that you can easily find other members and those interested in keeping up with what is going on in the Church, etc?
I also followed General Conference on Twitter, and found it very enjoyable. Can you tell, that I am an advocate for the use of Twitter?
