Thank you for viewing Itsagoodday.org. We hope in a small way that we can help the families across the USA to have choice. We center ourselves in families and the opportunity to help others wherever we can. I appreciate the feedback. This all began as a desire to share the gospel, we hope we may be able to share this site to non-members throughout the world. Thanks again.

I was sent this site a while ago and I really like the layout and the concept. I was sent a different site before that, and I can't remember the name of it now.

I agree with Dave that while these sites are wonderful for members, it doesn't help these wonderful videos with ratings on the popular video sharing websites, where members of other faiths will go to find information about Mormonism.

I originally had the video section of LDS.net setup to rip the video from YouTube or any other video site and then stream it from LDS.net. I soon realized I wasn't doing much good, because I wasn't supporting the efforts of those who are really making a difference in what non-members are finding about us online. I changed it to stream directly from YouTube and other video sites. This way members can watch videos in a filtered environment and by doing so they're giving views to the video on Youtube where it will be seen by a lot more people.

I signed up for an account and went to add a video from my puppetry troupe (Maxed Out Puppetry), and it does have a very nice feature when adding videos to simply grab them from YouTube. Basically, you give it the youtube url of your video as well as a title and description and you don't have to upload the file, it just gets it from YouTube. Nice.

One thing I don't like, however, is that while the video is in the review queue, there is no way to tell that you uploaded it. So until it is approved you have no feedback area where you can see the videos you have added still in moderation. It just says you have zero videos.

Anyway, the ability to suck in videos from YouTube, Metacafe, and others makes it more likely that people will add their videos.

I wish more of these family-oriented upcoming video websites would allow you to stream from Youtube, rather than reupload your videos. It would be easier for the sites to build up content on their sites, while also allowing uploaders to benefit on both websites.
