As of today, the blog ldsWebguy has been rebranded LDSMediaTalk. Additional authors have joined the blog and will be sharing ideas on how to use technology to strengthen families and build The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
You’ll find the same kind of information you’ve come to expect at ldsWebguy, but more.

I know this isn’t the place to share this, but perhaps it could prompt a post. I have been very happy with the results from using opendns.org – free and I can administer it for multiple families (in-laws, neighbors, ward members, etc).
It is a great resource for families wanting to control the internet coming into their homes.
I know every designer appreciates feedback. While you haven’t asked for it, I’ll offer it. You’ve captured something special with the background image of the child’s eyes, open and innocent. Isn’t that what we as parent’s are most concerned about when it comes to the new media – our innocent children?
Well done and thanks for the continuing efforts in sharing ideas on using technology to strengthen families and to build the church. I look forward to finding future information on creating great Web content, using social networks and other kinds of media to promote the church.
Looking forward to your future posts here, this sounds like a great idea.
Good luck with the new site. How will this impact Joel’s blog? What motivated the change? Will this still be the place to talk about the Church’s websites? From the new title and description it seems to be a departure from your current audience and theme.
On a side note it was funny to see three names for your blog in less than a month. Is your blog having a midlife identity crises?
I look forward to future posts.
Yes, it will continue to be a place to talk about the Church’s Web sites, just like we’ve done in the past, plus more. See http://www.ldsmediatalk.com/about-this-blog
Thanks for the feedback on the design. Gilbert Lee (who designed the blog) is phenomenal. It’s actually his daughter in the picture, too.
My blog will still be there, but will me more focused on technology and business issues–what it’s like to be in I.T.
You’ve made a good change, but your sub-heading implies that your site isn’t for LDS singles.
Sorry. We didn’t mean to exclude singles. It’s just that in an 8-word tag line, you can’t include every possible group. You’re certainly welcome here.
LDS_Media_Talk is a very fine and formal name, but I still like ldsWebguy better. Presenting ourselves as normal humans is NOT a bad thing. Yeah, yeah, I know … LDS_Media_Talk will stay. Rats.
