It is exciting to see how the Church has embraced the Internet, the web and even places like YouTube. But as Elder Ballard has pointed out many times, there is no way the official online sources of the Church can reach all those who are seeking information about our faith. The number of anti-Mormon sites still outweighs pro-LDS sites.

However, I have also noticed that more positive and accurate content is rising to the top in Internet searches. It's great that Elder Ballard specifically mentions blogging - either doing our own or adding comments to others. I have seen a huge increase in the number of LDS blogs since Elder Ballard first spoke about this in Dec 07.

We need more tech-savvy members to help out with posting good content on Wikipedia and other non-official sources. Hopefully all the new LDS-friendly blogs will continue to make a difference over time. As Elder Ballard mentions, we need more people to join the conversations to clarify misconceptions and share faith promoting experiences from our own lives.

Thanks for these great updates, Larry. Keep up the good work. We appreciate all you and your team are doing with the new media. Let us know what more we can do in addition to blogging and commenting on other blogs and sites. Maybe you have some suggestions on good ways to respond to those who leave negative comments on our blogs.
