Has anyone had trouble with the audio quality on the CDs from the April, 2007 conference? I am not a audio tech guy so I don't know exactly how to describe it. It sounds like the tracks are overdriven so things sound funky when the volume goes up. I have tried two different CD players - which play other CDs fine. I don't get it. I am disappointed particularly with the music.

Can't thank you and your team enough for this wonderful resource.

A couple comments, though (in no particular order):

Happy to see the TITLE data properly entered.

Confused by your use of a unique value for GENRE... how does "LDS Addresses" serve any purpose that outweighs it breaking with current taxonomy?

Resigned to downloading each of the talks one by one because a batch download wasn't provided. Ugh. It's a big time-sink, and the only reason I've not downloaded them in the week they've been up... too much time/effort.

Answers to the 2 questions above:

1. Why isn't the MP4 version of Sunday afternoon on the site? We ran into some problems in the conversion and are reconverting the file. We hope to have it up soon. Thank you for the comments on the quality. They are big files. Would you as users want us to sacrifice quality for file size?

2. Will we provide another RSS feed of the conference talks? We are in the process of defining our RSS and podcasting strategy. The feed last October was a test. A similar test for April can be found at http://feeds.lds.org/LDSGCBySpeaker_eng. This feed contains both October 2006 and April 2007 mp3s by speaker. The intent would be to use the same feed each conference and simply add the new files. What do you think?

Do you know why the Sunday Afternoon session doesn't have the entire conference for Quicktime download as the other sessions do? I'm glad you can get each talk but I also enjoy the music between, and as an aside whoever is responsible for this did an amazing job on the audio specifically when the choir is singing. I have a Video iPod and the clarity and sound is amazing for the first three sessions, better than listening at home via satellite. Thanks it is great to have these with me wherever I go.
